A reference to pink elephants occurs in the 1941 Disney animated classic Dumbo. Dumbo, having taken a drink of water from a bucket spiked with moonshine, begins to hallucinate singing and dancing "Pink Elephants on Parade."

With the advent of the spring I would like my first entry to be dedicated to something different from my original topic Pink Elephant.
Fool’s Day is a good way to go. This is a day to play pranks and get pranked too…
The condition of Pope John Paul II was "very grave," the Vatican said early today.
Tomorrow, April 2nd is the Hong Kong Day.

Murder of a Pink Elephant

It is summer vacation again and I can make up for all the missed readings and movies thru the year. Recently I read 'Murder of a Pink Elephant' by Denise Swanson. The book is a little cozy murder mystery that fits perfectly between the sunbaths and walks in the woods. The action is set in the small town of Scumble River (somewhere in the heart of Illinois). The mystery features Skye Dennison and her friends and family. Her brother's band has just been renamed to 'Pink Elephant'. That is why the novel name.

I am not going to reveal the story end because do not want to ruin your reading... (more)
